Looking of a CJ style jeep

I am looking for a new project rig, i would like to find something for about 500-1000 that runs and has working 4wd, body shape is not my major consern at this point, I am looking to make a trail buggy ( street legal ) so i will need one with a title. any help you could give me would be great

i would like to try an find something as soon as posiable as i will need time to get it ready for not only the july 11th ride at the flint hills (that is why i want something running)  but i want to make it to Moab for the next easter jeep run

You might check with David Parks at Motorsports Unlimited in Lawrence Kansas. He's always running across Jeeps at different price ranges.
